Picasso - Vollard Suite

The other day I went to see the Picasso etchings currently showing at the British Museum. I usually love Picasso's drawings and these were no exception. It was particularly interesting to see the progression of themes in his work over that period and how vividly his work reflected his personal life and mood...

sometimes amorous:

sometimes comical:
the figure of Marie-Thérèse confronted with a 'surrealist sculpture'

sometimes tragic:
the dying minotaur, watched by the face of his lover, Marie-Thérèse Walter
